From the founder of Litmos · bringing the love back to LMS admin
The management layer for Litmos administrators.
If you run Litmos LMS for your organisation, Micro is for you. Set up hundreds of people and assign courses in one go, with a preview and undo. See where learners get stuck, keep must-do training on track, and clean up access nobody uses. All on top of the Litmos account you already have.
For admins, not learners. Micro isn't another LMS and learners never use it. Your learners, courses and content stay in Litmos, exactly as they are.
Looking for your training? Sign in to your company's Litmos site as usual, or ask your Litmos administrator for the link.
14-day free trial, no credit card needed. Connect your Litmos API key in about two minutes.

How it works
Keep Litmos. Add Micro on top.
There's nothing to migrate and nothing changes for learners. Micro connects to your Litmos LMS with an API key, keeps an up-to-date copy of your people, teams and progress, and sends back only the changes your admins approve.

From your friend who built Litmos
Micro is created by Rich Chetwynd, the original founder and creator of Litmos.
“I'm passionate about learning and about great user experience. It made me a bit sad to hear that the Litmos admin experience hasn't kept up with the times, so I built Micro to change that. Tell me your Litmos pains and I'll help solve them.”
Bulk admin
Change hundreds of people in one go. Safely.
Filter by team, job title, login activity or "doesn't have this course yet", then select everyone who matches. Assign courses or learning paths, move teams, update fields, or deactivate.
- Every change is previewed first: who's affected, who's skipped, and anything to watch out for
- Untick anyone you want to leave out before you apply
- Runs in the background within Litmos' rate limit, and most changes can be undone
- Learner emails are off unless you switch them on

Onboarding
New starters arrive as a spreadsheet. Import it.
Drop in the CSV HR sends you. New emails become new Litmos users. Existing people get only what changed: teams, courses, job titles. Column names can be whatever your spreadsheet uses, and anything unclear is flagged before you apply.
Reporting and insights
Stop rebuilding reports in Excel.
See completion by team and course at a glance, find the module where learners give up, and spot the assessments that trip people up. It's always up to date, with nothing to export.

Suggested assignments
Find the people auto-assign missed.
Micro compares people with their peers by job title, team and department. When most of a group has a course and a few people don't, you'll see exactly who's missing it. One click turns that into a reviewed assignment.

Compliance
Star the must-do training. Micro keeps watch.
Security, privacy, health and safety: click the star and that's the whole setup. You'll see how many people are up to date, who's overdue, whose certificate has expired or is about to, and which teams are behind. No more chasing it in spreadsheets.
Access review
Don't let leavers keep access to your learning.
Former employees and people who changed role often keep their Litmos logins, sometimes with admin rights over everyone's records. Micro flags the logins that have gone quiet, admins and team leaders first, so you can deactivate or downgrade them with a preview. A weekly email keeps owners in the loop, and you free up licences too.

Works with your AI assistant
Just ask.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client to Micro and ask questions in plain English, or have it draft changes for you. The assistant can only propose changes: you approve them before anything reaches Litmos.
How it works and how to connectPreview before every change
Nothing reaches Litmos until you've seen it and pressed Apply.
Undo
Assignments, team moves, field changes and deactivations can be reversed.
Your API key stays private
Encrypted at rest and only ever used on our server to talk to Litmos.
Respects Litmos' limits
Big jobs run in the background within Litmos' rate limit.
Only admins get in
Your Litmos administrators sign in with an emailed code. Learners don't need accounts.

Questions about Micro
- Is Micro an LMS?
- No. Micro isn't a learning management system and doesn't replace Litmos. It's a management layer for Litmos LMS: your learners, courses and content stay in Litmos, and Micro gives your administrators better tools on top.
- Who is Micro for?
- Litmos administrators and Account Owners: the people who set up users, assign training and report on it. Learners never use Micro and don't need an account. They keep taking their training in Litmos, so if you're looking for your courses, sign in to your company's Litmos site or ask your Litmos administrator.
- How does Micro connect to Litmos?
- With a Litmos API key from an Account Owner. Micro imports your people, teams, courses and progress, keeps them up to date, and only sends changes back to Litmos when an admin approves them.
- What can Micro do that Litmos can't?
- Bulk changes with a preview and undo, CSV imports for new starters, reporting by team and course, insights into where learners get stuck, peer-based assignment suggestions, must-do training monitoring, access reviews of dormant logins, and an AI assistant connection.
- Will Micro change anything in Litmos without me?
- No. Every change is a draft you review first, and nothing reaches Litmos until someone presses Apply. That includes changes an AI assistant suggests.
- Who built Micro?
- Micro is created by Rich Chetwynd, the original founder and creator of Litmos, and made by Lupchoo Ltd in New Zealand. It's independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Litmos.
- How much does Micro cost?
- US$99 a month for Litmos sites with up to 1,000 active users, US$299 a month for 1,001 to 5,000, and custom pricing above 5,000 (contact us). Every feature is included, and every account starts with a 14-day free trial with no credit card needed.
Simple pricing. Everything included.
One flat monthly price based on the size of your Litmos site. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial, and no credit card is needed.
