AI assistants · MCP
Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your Litmos.
Connect the AI assistant you already use to Micro. Ask about your people, courses and compliance in plain English, or have it draft changes. Nothing reaches Litmos until you've seen the preview and said yes.
Included in every plan. Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and other MCP clients.
What you can ask
Answers in seconds, not a report later.
The assistant works from Micro's up-to-date copy of your Litmos site, so it can answer questions Litmos reports can't.
-
“Who's overdue on Data Privacy in Warehouse – Ohio?”
Course reports by team, with who's behind
-
“Which admins haven't logged in for three months?”
Access review, including leavers who kept their logins
-
“Where do people get stuck in our GDPR course?”
Module drop-off and the hardest assessments
-
“Who should probably have Fire Safety but doesn't?”
Courses most of someone's peers already have
-
“How are we doing on our must-do training?”
Starred training, overdue and expiring certificates
-
“What's Patty Heaney's training history?”
One person's courses, progress, due dates and paths
What it can do
It looks things up freely. Changes wait for you.
Look things up
- Find people, teams, courses and learning paths
- Filter people by team, job title, access level, course or login activity
- See one person's full training record
- Course reports: completion by team, module drop-off, assessment scores
- Insights: teams behind, courses not finished, where learners stall
- Starred (must-do) training status
- Access review: dormant admins, team leaders and learners
- Suggested assignments based on what peers have
Draft changes for you to approve
- 1 Ask. “Assign Fire Safety to the Warehouse Operatives who don't have it.”
- 2 Preview. The assistant prepares a draft and shows exactly who changes, who's skipped and why.
- 3 Confirm. Only when you say yes does it apply the change. It runs in the background within Litmos' limits.
- 4 Undo. Changed your mind? Most changes can be undone from Change history in Micro.
Course content can't be created through the Litmos API, so for that the assistant gives you a link into Litmos.

Safe by design
You stay in control of Litmos.
Drafts, never surprises
The assistant can't change Litmos on its own. Every change is a draft with a preview that you confirm.
Roles still apply
Viewers can ask questions and run reports. Only workspace owners and admins can have an assistant plan or apply changes.
Your API key stays with Micro
Your Litmos API key is encrypted and only used on Micro's servers. The assistant gets its own sign-in, never the key.
Disconnect any time
See every connected assistant in Settings → AI assistants and revoke its access with one click.
Screens show Northwind, the fictional company in Micro's live demo. Claude and ChatGPT are trademarks of their owners; Micro isn't affiliated with them or with Litmos.
Questions
- Which AI assistants work with Micro?
- Claude, ChatGPT and any other client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in, including Claude Code.
- Can the assistant change things in Litmos without me?
- No. It can only draft changes. You see the preview and confirm before anything is sent to Litmos, and most changes can be undone.
- Does the assistant get our Litmos API key?
- No. Your API key is encrypted and only ever used on Micro's servers. The assistant signs in to Micro with its own access, which you can revoke at any time in Settings.
- Who can make changes through an assistant?
- Only workspace owners and admins. Viewers can ask questions and run reports, but the assistant can't plan or apply changes for them.
- What can I ask?
- Things like “who's overdue on Data Privacy in Warehouse – Ohio?”, “which admins haven't logged in for three months?” or “who should probably have Fire Safety but doesn't?”.
- Is it included in my plan?
- Yes. AI assistant access is included in every plan, at no extra cost. You use your own Claude or ChatGPT account.
