LMS reporting dashboard

An LMS reporting dashboard is a page of charts and key numbers summarising training activity, such as completion rates, overdue training, active users and recent completions. It gives admins and managers an at-a-glance view, with the ability to drill into teams, courses and individual learners.

Why it matters

Dashboards replace the monthly routine of exporting reports and rebuilding them in Excel. The numbers are current every time someone looks.

What to include

Completion rate and trend, overdue and expiring required training, teams furthest behind, active vs dormant users, and courses where people get stuck.

Common pitfalls

Dashboards full of vanity numbers like total logins and courses available. Every number should lead to an action.
